General conditions of sale of the Château d'Argentonesse
Article 1 - Conditions: This contract is intended for the exclusive use of booking a stay in the guest rooms of the Château d'Argentonesse.
Article 2 - Duration of the stay : The signatory of this contract, concluded for a fixed period, may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain in the premises at the end of the stay.
Article 3 - Conclusion of the contract : The reservation becomes effective once the Tenant has sent the owner a deposit of 30% of the total amount of the stay with a minimum of one night per room. The payment of this deposit is equivalent to the acceptance of the general conditions.
The prices include breakfast and exclude tourist tax. The tourist tax is a local tax that the client must pay to the owner, who then transfers it to the Public Treasury. It is intended to contribute to the financing of the tourist promotion actions carried out by the municipality, and is paid to the tourist office and to the Departmental Committee of Tourism for its communication campaigns.
The deposit: it can be made by bank transfer, or by French cheques.
Payment of the balance: The balance is to be paid on departure, at the owner's. Payment can be made by credit card, cheque or cash.
Article 4 : Cancellation by the client:
a) In all cases the deposit remains with the owner who reserves the right to claim the balance of the price of the stay.
b) If the cancellation occurs less than 72 hours before the beginning of the stay, the deposit remains with the owner and the totality of the stay is due.
c/ If the client does not show up before 8 p.m. on the day of the beginning of the stay, and has not informed the owner of his delay, the owner can dispose of his rooms. The deposit remains with the owner and the totality of the stay is due.
d/ In the event of a shortened stay compared to the reservation initially planned, the price corresponding to the cost of the accommodation initially planned remains entirely acquired by the owner.
e/ In case of cancellation after arrival, the price corresponding to the cost of the accommodation remains entirely due to the owner.
Article 5: Cancellation by the owner: When, before the beginning of the stay, the owner cancels the stay, he must inform the client and ensure that the message has been received by the client. The client will be reimbursed for the sums paid, without prejudice to any recourse for compensation for any damage suffered.
Article 6 - Arrival time
The client must arrive on the day specified at the time of booking, at the earliest at 5pm (time of availability of the rooms and handing over of the keys) and, at the latest, at 8pm.
The client must inform us by telephone if he/she is obliged to arrive after this time. If possible, please do not arrive after 9.30 pm.
Children are accepted in our guest rooms. We do not provide cots for children under 4 years of age.
If the child occupies a bed or is over 4 years old, he/she will be given a bed and the rate will be that of the number of occupants in the room, with breakfast. The attention of the clients is drawn to the fact that the minors evolving within the house are placed under the unique and whole responsibility of their parents or the persons having authorities on them.
Article 7: Departures: Departures must be made before 11:00 a.m.
Article 8: Use of the premises: The client must respect the peaceful nature of the premises and use them in accordance with their purpose. He/she undertakes to return the rooms in good condition. In the event of damage, the client undertakes to reimburse the costs incurred.
Article 9: We reserve the right to change your choice of room to a room of the same or higher category, if necessary.
Article 10: Capacity: The reservation is made for a specific number of persons. If the number of guests exceeds this number, the owner has the right to refuse additional guests, without cancelling the reservation.
This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or a breach of contract on the owner's initiative, so that in case of departure of a number of guests higher than those refused, no refund can be considered.
Article 11: The swimming pool: Children and minors must not be alone in the swimming pool and are under the responsibility of their parents.
The owners are in no way responsible. Access to the swimming pool is limited by time limits for the well-being of all. Pool opening time: 9am, closing time: 7pm.
Alarms will be in operation when the pool is closed.
The Chateau Park: The property has several buildings which are not accessible to all persons for security reasons.
The owner will not accept any responsibility for loss, theft and/or damage and/or injury to property and/or persons on the property from any cause whatsoever.
Article 12: Animals: Animals are not allowed. In case of non respect of this clause by the client, the owner can refuse the animals. This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or a break of the reservation at the initiative of the owner, so that in case of departure of the customer, no refund can be considered.
Article 13: The entire interior of our guest house is non-smoking. Ashtrays are available outside.
The whole house is a non-smoking area.
The loss of the keys to the room and the entrance will result in an additional cost of 25 €uros.
Article 14 : Breakfast
Breakfast is served between 8am and 10am.
Table d'hôtes. We can, on reservation, make table d'hôtes for dinner. You can book 24 hours in advance.
Table d'hôtes is available on Friday and Saturday evenings.
On other days, on request.
The price of the meal is 25 Euros / person, wine not included.
If the guest wishes to eat at our table d'hôtes on the day of arrival, please reserve this 24 hours in advance or when booking your rooms.
Please specify any allergies or intolerances.
Article 15: Data Protection Act
In accordance with the law n° 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms, you benefit from a right of access and correction of the data concerning you. We undertake not to pass on the information you have provided to us to other companies or organisations under any circumstances.
Article 16: Dispute resolution
The present General Terms of Sale are governed by the law of the country of establishment.
